Monday June 2 & 3, 2019, referred to as a student hero for independently coordinating a fund raiser event, raised over $9,000 for a life saving U.P.M.C. double lung transplant recipient – Michele McDonald Boeke. She was a former Miss U.S.A. 1971. Her story featuring her surgery had been aired on K.D.K.A. 7 months prior. I held the event at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall. I recruited all donations, advertisement and collected close to 100 raffle baskets. It was a Pittsburgh Talent Show, Pageant, Hula Hoop and Crazy Hair contest, D.J. Bake sale and more, all held in the Mall Food Court and store spaces donated by Pittsburgh Mills Mall.
