In March of 2019 I was diagnosed with two germinoma tumors of the brain, I had four rounds of Chemotherapy and 20 radiation treatments before being cleared on September 4 of that year. Before my fight with cancer I knew that I wanted to go to college for something in the medical field, however I was not completely sure what for. I’m now committed to University of Pittsburgh Greensburg’s nursing program, and I’m planning to continue my education to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

I look forward to continuing my focus on the study of science and math while in high school. After graduating, I would love to apply those strengths in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Medicine, specifically branching into anesthesiology, is also at the top of my list. My goals for the future are to attend a four year university, and earn a degree in cell and molecular biology. After I receive my B.A. in biology, I want to further my education and earn a Master’s, and, eventually, a PhD. in genetics. For my undergraduate I will be attending Chatham University, but it is my goal to transfer to a school in England for my Master’s and PhD.
