Essay

I have an immense passion for leadership which I have found through volunteering. Being a dual enrollment student, I volunteer through my high school as a National Honor Society member, and a debater in Model UN Club. Through my church, I volunteer in many activities including working with the less fortunate. In my community, I volunteer through a local arts council and a local coin club. Finally, I have the opportunity to volunteer through the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC). I volunteer as a CCAC student ambassador, who represents the college to prospective students and exemplifies what a student is capable of. Also, I volunteer through PTK by engaging in community service activities and activities that help the chapter grow. After being inducted into PTK, I have taken an initiative to become president of two clubs at my college. Through these clubs, Young Entrepreneur and Computer Club, I have been volunteering as a tutor for 4 hours a week. My deepest passion is to help everyone I can who wants to succeed. I have tutored many students needing help in computer science and math. I had tutored a displaced worker who really needed my help. Now he is graduating and very happy that I had helped him. My responsibilities as a leader of these clubs are to organize a community service event, organize a campus event, organize an educational event, attend a monthly all-clubs meeting, and record meeting minutes. My abilities for being a leader, an organizer, and a teacher are essential qualities of being a volunteer and an entrepreneur. My leadership in these two clubs combine my future plans and career goals beautifully and will help me better prepare to successfully achieve my future goals.
