    I plan to attend a four year college in order to obtain a business or teaching degree. I have become very interested in special education ever since I got involved with the Best Buddies program last year. I love spending my time getting to know all the kids and how each of their characters are so unique and different. I am also interesting in sales, so I will be attending The National Student Leadership Conference in hopes to learn more about the business field.

    My plans for the future are to attend college and hopefully continue with my passion for music. From 6th grade up until the end of my freshman year when I moved from Seattle, WA to Pittsburgh, PA, I was in a singing/instrumental duo that performed around coffee shops and music festivals in the Seattle area. I love collaborating with other musicians so I hope to be able to continue that in college and even beyond. I think I would like to double major in philosophy and neuroscience in college.

    The plans are to graduate with highest honors from high school then proceed to attend Duquesne University and major in Biochemistry, possibly pursuing a Master’s and then my Doctorate. The career choice interests me because of my diagnosis of Type 1diabetes. This will lead me to a possible career in the health care or science fields such as working in an endocrinology department or for Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals.     For the future, I plan on attending a 4-year college, and I am currently thinking about applying to the following universities: Rutgers University, Syracuse University, Swarthmore College, Robert Morris University, and Princeton University. At the moment, my focus of study would surround Communications and Journalism, as I wish to become an editor or publisher for a newspaper or magazine. Beyond this, I am also considering Vocal Performance or Classical Voice as a minor or double major.
