Brewer, James

Greensburg Central Catholic High School, 11

I plan to obtain advanced engineering degrees in multiple disciplines to enable me to help make a better world through innovative ideas and designs that use environmentally friendly materials and processes. I plan to compete in Track and Field at the Division I college level. My commitment to community will grow stronger with positions of leadership in USA Track & Field, as well as continuing to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, youth coaching and tutoring.

Norwin High School, 12

After undergoing surgery as a child, I quickly understood the value of doctors that treat their patients with empathy, respect, and compassion. Through that difficult experience, I knew my future path would be to become an osteopathic physician. I plan to study Biology/Pre-Medicine in the Honors Program at Saint Francis University and have been accepted to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) for the medical school entrance class of 2027.

My future plans are to attend college to be a news anchor and I hope to be a CNBC news anchor when I am older.

I am attendingt Duquesne University. I plan to major in Finance. I am a leader of many groups at school, work at an after-school program, and use my free time to volunteer for multiple causes that I am passionate about. I plan to continue these works after graduating high school and finding more organizations to contribute to. My goal is to be able to take care of my family. My aspiration is to make a difference in the lives of others. I want to inspire, teach, and comfort others.

I plan on attending the United States Coast Guard Academy to pursue mechanical engineering degree while also being a student athlete on the USCGA swim team. My desire to serve others has developed over time, from community service as a young boy to achieving my Eagle Scout rank. The leadership, respect, values, and achievements I learned from Boy Scouts have naturally led me to the Coast Guard. Ultimately, I want to serve my country as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard.

I plan to attend the University of Toledo and pursue a major in Civil Engineering. I am interested in learning and developing skills within the many branches of Civil Engineering. Following graduation I hope to have positive affect on a community like mine one day.

I plan on graduating Obama with the Ib Diploma and then going on to study something in the medical field in college. I hope to continue to help out my community in the future.

After I graduate from High School I will be attending Waynesburgh University to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and specializing in English/Literature. I will also be playing for their successful softball team that won the Presidents’ Athletics Conference last year. After college I hope to return to Southmoreland to give back to the school that gave so much to me. In my free time I would like to be a face in the community and better the town that has been my home my whole life.

I plan to enlist into the United States Air Force after graduation and do security forces. While serving my country, I plan to get a master’s in criminology in the USAF Community College. This is to help kickstart my future career as a detective, hopefully working on a federal level one day.

I got accepted to University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering. Mechanical engineering is my planned discipline. I would like to find alternatives to plastics to cut back on the pollution.

I will be attending a four-year college and have my choices narrowed down to Robert Morris, Slippery Rock, Ohio University, or Mount Union. I would like to pursue a degree in Sports Management with a possible minor in Sports Journalism/Broadcasting. I am hoping to be able to get a Masters degree as well. I am still considering playing club sports while in college and would like to continue to volunteer with the Pittsburgh Rhinos Blind Hockey Team and Pitcairn Camp B.

In the future I plan to attend four-year college and get my degree in Chemical Engineering. I hope to use my degree to obtain a job where I can help companies to change their processes to be more ecologically friendly. In the workforce I plan to pave the way for other female engineers. Should I be financially stable enough, I hope to donate money to organizations that empower and aid females entering male-dominated fields.

I aspire to be a dentist, then continue on to be an orthodontist. i am currently working at an indoor golf facility, and LA Fitness. I have been saving money, as I know the cost of this education will be immense, I am currently working very hard to maintain my 4.7 GPA in hopes to gain some academic scholarships, I also plan on continuing my love for music and golf on a collegiate level which will also help. I love the idea of helping patients, and can’t wait to make a difference in many lives.

Long-range catapults and weight-sustaining bridges–winning Science Bowl in 5th grade, I knew I wanted to be an engineer. Years later, I hope to combine my love for creating and collaboration with my passion for medicine by majoring in biomedical engineering or computer science. I’m excited to see where my college experience leads me next, whether it’s designing on the nanoscale as a biomedical engineer or even becoming a physician. And another fun long-term plan is to eventually learn Spanish!

I plan on studying communications at BYU and hopefully studying abroad during college. After, I will move back to Pittsburgh and hopefully get a job in technical writing.

After graduating high school, I plan to attend a 4-year university to study at the College of Arts and Sciences. I am currently undecided on what career I would like to pursue, but I am extremely interested in continuing to explore my interests of psychology, economics, biological sciences, and math. I plan to continue taking part in volunteer opportunities to positively impact the people in my community and look forward to hopefully studying abroad during my sophomore or junior year of college!

I plan on attending a 4 year university to obtain a bachelors degree in chemistry or biochemistry. I then plan on pursuing a medical degree and becoming a practicing physician. I hope to go into either women’s health, cardiology, or a combination of the two. Beyond further education, I also hope to travel the world throughout my life.

Even before high school I knew I wanted to pursue studies related to the environment as I’ve always been deeply invested in the preservation and stewardship of our world. Over the past two years, I have also become more deeply interested in the humanities and to the study of more complex works of philosophy and literature. While I have not yet chosen my college, I will be pursuing a cross-disciplinary honors program that includes environmental studies, policy, writing, and service.

I plan to attend a 4-year university in Pittsburgh with a major in Nursing. After I obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing I plan to go back to school for my Doctorate in Nursing Anesthesia.

In the fall of 2023 I will be attending Notre Dame University in the college of engineering to complete my undergraduate work and receive a degree in civil engineering while competing for the University’s volleyball program. Short after I plan on attending graduate school at the University’s law school with a focus in patent law which is the field in which I hope to have a long and successful career in.
