Pennsylvania Board of Education, Student Representative –– Selected through a competitive statewide process to serve as the student representative for Pennsylvania’s 1.7 million K–12 students before the Board of Education, elevating student perspectives in state education policy discussions and advancing recommendations on issues affecting students statewide. Developed and lead a statewide initiative highlighting diverse postsecondary pathways and sharing stories of first-generation, rural, and low-income students who overcame barriers to pursue college, careers, and other opportunities., Student Representative to the Pennsylvania Board of Education – 2 Years
Students for Education in Pennsylvania (SEPA), Co-Director –– Lead a statewide coalition of 160+ students from 65+ school districts to engage in education policy and advocacy. Design and facilitate monthly forums empowering students to analyze and discuss statewide education issues. Organized a statewide School Board Representative & Advocacy Training in partnership with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, serving 60+ student leaders. Mount Lebanon School Board, Student Representative –– Represent the 5,400 K-12 Mt. Lebanon students before the district’s Board of Education. Selected through a competitive process, I deliver monthly student reports and policy recommendations. Latino Community Center (LCC), SOMOS Program, Volunteer Tutor –– Volunteer weekly as a tutor for immigrant elementary and middle school students, using my trilingual skills in Spanish, Portuguese, and English to support academic learning and English as a Second Language (ESL). Contributed 100+ service hours supporting 40+ students and led a school supplies fundraiser collecting 400+ items for LCC afterschool programs benefiting 125 children. Plans
After graduating high school in 2027, I plan to study Government and Economics and pursue law, with the goal of serving in government and public policy, advancing educational equity, and fostering inclusive, culturally connected communities.
