Throughout all of high school, in the fall, I practice and play games with the OC Volleyball team. We practice three days every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school and have games every Tuesdays and Thursdays. Because of this time commitment and the rigourous classes that I take, I stay up later to complete my school work. Volleyball has taught me team building skills and collaboration with others. During the fall, volleyball is my favorite part of my day because I get to see my closest friends. During the spring and winter for the last four years, from the months of December to April, I play club volleyball for Renaissance Volleyball Club. On Wednesdays and Sundays I rehearse for my church (Our Lady of Mount Carmel)’s CYO Musical. Throughout rehearsals, I raise money for the show by getting advertisements and selling hoagies. Since there is no charge for entry into the musical, all the money I raised goes towards the production. Every year, in the spring, we perform the musical and we accept donations. All the money that we raise goes towards an impoverished women’s hospital in Chimbote, Peru, and The Project HOPE Mission Trip in Appalachia, Kentucky., Member – 3 Years
