Extracurricular Activities

Cancer Awareness Research and Education (CARE) – Manage all branches, including establishing and overseeing 40 chapters with over 500 members worldwide. Raised over $27,000 through events with over 250 volunteer hours to date., Chief Operating Officer – 3 Years
Code.org Women in Computer Science (CS) Ambassador – Organized HackHERthon with over 50+ attendees in a 7-hour hackathon aimed to empower female and non-binary students through coding, workshops and mentorship. Represented the CS department at high school (2x) at the annual Elective and Transition Fair, speaking to hundreds of students and parents. Spoke as a panelist to 100+ global educators on making computer science education more inclusive., Student Ambassador – 2 Years
Frontier AI – Planned and taught an introductory AI course with 100+ students registered that covered fundamentals, ethics and applications. Launched and instructed an intermediate AI course, guiding students to develop their own models. Developed and taught an introductory Python course, covering coding basics. Currently instructing an intermediate Python course (March 2025)., Chief Executive Officer – 2 Years
Mathlings – Led Mathlings 2023 in-person Summer Camp, teaching competition math for 15 hours through puzzles and challenges. Served as chapter leader, conducting 25+ classes and managing teachers., Chapter Leader – 1 Year
Bharatanatyam – Trained in Indian Classical Dance for four years. Performed at events like Annual Students Day and India Republic Day., Member – 1 Year

Community Involvement

Computer Club – assist in planning and executing monthly club meetings to teach students a variety of computer science related topics, President – 1 Year
DECA – Established and lead our chapter’s first education team, ensuring 200+ members are competition-ready. Head a team of six event specialists, planning and coordinating biweekly curricula and training events., Vice President of Education (2024-25) and Member (2022-24) – 3 Years
North Allegheny CARE – Lead monthly meetings to create crafts and educate on volunteer opportunities. Organized and participated in local events, including Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Relay for Life, Daffodil Days, Hillman Cancer Center Trip and American Cancer Society (ACS) x North Allegheny Pink Out Game, President (2024-25) & School Representative (2022-23) – 3 Years
Key Club – Earned distinguished membership status for 50+ volunteer hours in both freshman and sophomore years., Distinguished Member – 3 Years

Plans

Throughout the rest of my high school journey, I will continue mentoring students in computer science and business while expanding my efforts in cancer research, awareness and education through CARE. After graduating from North Allegheny, I look to pursue an undergraduate degree in a field related to STEM and/or Business while staying active in community service, potentially joining organizations such as American Cancer Society and/or Code.org.
